Do you have no place to go to and no one to turn to?
Though you’ve had hundreds of friends in your life;
Do you wonder if there is something called friendship so true?
To rid your loneliness; which is the cause of all your strife.
Are you in despair without any friend who is really so true?
Do you sometimes wonder if all friendship is purely selfish?
If you cannot find no one else to relate to or greet you
Then its time for you to seek my friendship
In this world where people are terribly so, so cold
Let me give you that much needed love so warm
Just call out my name; call out clear and loud
And I’ll be there to protect you from all that harm
When you are fed up with superficial friendships
Of people who claim to be at your side but do not abide
When you are fed up with today’s artificial relationships
Come let me with you abide; by your lonely side
When you're down; badly let down and troubled
just call out; call out my crazy stupid name,
When you really need a redeeming helping hand
and I'll come running to help you again.
Please call my friend; just call my name aloud,
When you are totally down and troubled
For I’m always here my friend or just around
Then your loneliness will be dispelled and joy doubled
You will then realise what friendship is all about
All that I expect is for you to stay in touch
For then my loneliness to is sent on a roundabout
And our lives are enriched without a grouch
For simply put, I’m friendless today
On this so called friendship day
Written in a state of deep depression on 7th August 2011 which was then celebrated as "World Friendship Day"
