We expect people to walk with us
but sadly we forget to walk with them
We expect people to stay with us
but then leave out those who don't come
saying they just didn't last some.
When the sands of time keep shifting
we are not willing to change
but want to keep remaining
as obstinate as we always were
and then we do claim
to carry memories of those for sure
While we our selfishness do proclaim.
It is only our expectations
that matter for our happiness
while it would not be the same
with the other; with expectations unfortunate
who walked all along with me at every bend
talked all the while with me
and remained selfish till the end
while we continued to remain unselfish you see.
