Jack was jealous of his wife Jill
for of hard labour he had; had his fill.
While he went to work and slogged
he felt she relaxed and enjoyed.
He appealed to God and said it wasn't fair
his trials he just could not bear;
So for a day God made Jack
turn into Jill while Jill turned into Jack.
Jack then found that he had no time to rest
there was a lot to do around the nest;
Food to cook, plates and clothes to wash,
shopping to do without sufficient cash,
kids to bathe, dog to walk,
ironing to do and then too tired to talk;
By end of day though drained of energy
in bed he had to yield to Jill turned Jack’s frenzy.
The next day dawned and Jack was glad;
He told God he now knew the difficulties of a woman
and then begged him to turn him back into a man.
God said, “Sorry son but you are preggers now;
you’ll have to wait nine months from now”.
And thus did Jack understand a woman’s labour
and for Jill no more ill will did he harbour.
