THE KING OF THE SERPENTS

He was the king of the serpents
as slippery as slippery can be
He had bitten many gents
who from him could not, saved be
He hid in the dark and shade
away from the summer’s heat
He was certainly shady
that you could not follow his feet.
No one knew his true nature
until they were bitten by him
then they had no future
for his poison had poisoned them.
He was the king of the serpents
as slippery as slippery can be
You can find him in society’s corridors
but for heaven’s sake
unto him don’t open your doors
