In my native home state
elections are being held
to chose the rulers of our nation state.
While the nation is being bled,
Votes are being sold for money.
In the name of democracy
the people are selling their country;
for just a few hundred rupees.
Indeed we don’t love our country;
as much as we love our money.
Nobody to these truly objects
but some of them are truly jealous
that they are not at par with such subjects.
They have not received money or jewels
and their votes in the market remain stale;
for they have been unable to get a good sale.
