ON THANKSGIVING DAY 2015

When you thank your maker

you don’t just thank him for all the good

but also thank him for all the bother

and for all the wasted food

When you thank your creator

for all that he has given you

don’t just thank him for the traitor

but thank him for the betrayer too

When you thank the Almighty

For all the nice things of life

You shouldn’t forget the unkindly

Who on your face farted with dislike

When you thank the divine

For all that lovely glorious nature

Forget not to thank him for the wine

That did the fabric of my life rupture

When you thank the sacred and Holy

For all the terrorism, pollution and perversion

Don’t forget to thank the unholy and the lowly

For life is a mix of all and every type and version

So on this very special Thanksgiving day

Let us thank God for each and everything

The good, bad and all in the world that does stay

And upon them all seek God’s blessing
