The harvests’ just in
Its time to celebrate
Lets kindle the fire
And our houses decorate
Lets welcome the spring
And the new commemorate
While the old we ring out
As we with Joy rejoice
And Pongal wishes shout
Happy Pongal and all its joys
Pongal is the harvest festival of the Tamils; the
people of Tamilnadu, a state in Southern India to which I belong
