SHADES OF BLUE

Shades of blue; forever blue
Life is nothing but shades of blue
Shade and shadow playing on
As we remain blissfully
Unaware of the big con.

Playing our petty games,
Ruling our own world,
Thinking we know,
More than most others know,
Mastering subjects and professions,
Unworthy of our time,
Wasting our bodies
With food and wine.

Shades of blue; forever blue
Life is nothing but shades of blue
Shade and shadow playing on
As we remain blissfully
Unaware; of the big con.

Hoping to conquer
All horizons viewed,
Ol! Life is
Nothing but screwed.
When we sincerely assume
We are about to conquer
We only do so presume
For ultimately it is death that to dust us conquer.

Shades of blue; forever blue
Life is nothing but shades of blue
Shade and shadow playing on
As we remain blissfully
Unaware; of the big con.

Before we even realize it,
Our life is soon over.
This veritable life indeed,
Which doth seemed to flower.
Is death a leveler?
Or, just a plain destroyer?
The cessation of breath,
It’s not just a meaningless death.

Shades of blue; forever blue
Life is nothing but shades of blue
Shade and shadow playing on
As we remain blissfully
Unaware; of the big con.

WHEN ROBOT ARMIES MARCH

The day is not far
When robot armies march to war.
The day is not far
When robot armies march to war.

When robot armies fight
With all their terrible might
Complex Software will ensure
That weapons are precise and sure
To make their own value based decision
By using ethical governor software
They will act without doubt or hesitation
And responsibly use the hardware

The day is not far
When robot armies march to war.
The day is not far
When robot armies march to war.

When robotic attack aircraft strike
With an inbuilt guilt operational system
They will not shoot the enemy as they like
Even inside a kill zone defined by their system
When the software certainly indicate
Our enemies are within a cemetery
“Do not fire” the systems will dictate
In unison and in perfect symmetry

The day is not far
When robot armies march to war.
The day is not far
When robot armies march to war.

When robot pilots therefore open fire
They would breach international law
And draw many a nations ire
As enemies will seek shelter behind the law
When robots identify enemy
convoys close to a hospital
The system will allow damaging fire to the convoy
but the hospital in its entirety; it will not destroy.

The day is not far
When robot armies march to war.
The day is not far
When robot armies march to war.

When robot armies march to war
Then the day is not far
That hackers are employed at war
To ensure victory from afar.
When hackers hack robotic attack systems
And corrupt their ethics and guilt systems
Then ultimately it is Man and not his invention
Which is behind all this corruption.
